Former Nebraska softball star Jordy Frahm has shared major personal news just one day after the conclusion of her remarkable collegiate career.
Frahm announced on social media that she and her husband, Trey Frahm, are expecting their first child.
The announcement came Monday, shortly after Nebraska’s season ended at the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.
In a joint Instagram post, the couple revealed that their baby is due in December 2026.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Our greatest blessing is on the way. Baby Frahm coming December 2026,” the post read.
The news quickly drew congratulations from fans, teammates, coaches, and members of the softball community.
The announcement also revealed that Frahm competed throughout Nebraska’s postseason run while in the early stages of pregnancy.
National Player of the Year Ends Historic Career
Frahm closes her college softball career as one of the most accomplished players in the sport.
The Nebraska standout was recently named National Player of the Year after an exceptional senior season that showcased her abilities both as a pitcher and a hitter.
She helped lead the Cornhuskers to the Women’s College World Series for the first time since 2013 and played a major role in Nebraska capturing the Big Ten Championship.
Her final collegiate appearance came Sunday against Texas in an elimination game at the Women’s College World Series.
Frahm gave Nebraska an early lead with a leadoff home run, her 20th of the season. She then carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Texas rallied for a 3-1 victory.
The performance added another chapter to an already historic season. Frahm became the first player in Division I softball history to record multiple seasons with at least 20 home runs and 20 pitching wins.
Throughout the Women’s College World Series, she started all three games for Nebraska and logged 18 innings in the circle while recording 17 strikeouts.
One of her most memorable performances came in Nebraska’s opening win over Arkansas, when she pitched all 10 innings in a marathon victory.
The Papillion native began her college career at Oklahoma, where she was part of two national championship teams. She transferred to Nebraska ahead of the 2024 season to play for her home state program.
Her journey was not without challenges. Shortly after arriving in Lincoln, she suffered a torn ACL that cut her season short.
Frahm worked her way back and returned stronger, eventually leading Nebraska back to the national spotlight.
Looking Ahead to a New Chapter
Following Nebraska’s loss to Texas, Frahm reflected on the path that brought her to the end of her softball career.
She spoke about the unexpected twists in her journey, including transferring schools, battling injury, and ultimately helping Nebraska return to the Women’s College World Series.
Frahm finished her senior season with a 1.37 earned run average and 251 strikeouts across 189.2 innings pitched. At the plate, she hit .403 with 20 home runs, 79 hits, and 51 RBIs.
Nebraska head coach Rhonda Revelle praised Frahm’s impact on the program, describing her as a gifted athlete, fierce competitor, and influential leader whose understanding of teammates helped make her an exceptional presence in the clubhouse.
Now, as her college softball career comes to a close, Frahm is preparing for a different kind of milestone.
