Bullying is more than just unkind behavior

At Musser Park in Lancaster City, an incident happened when Sammi Jo’s 11‑year‑old son was playing a casual game of two‑hand touch football.

A freshman from JP McCaskey High School allegedly joined in, insisting on tackle football despite the boy’s refusal.

When the child declined, the older student insulted him, pushed him to the ground, and left him screaming in pain.

The push resulted in a broken arm, and now doctors are considering surgery, a serious prospect that could affect the boy’s growth at such a young age.

The incident was witnessed in a busy park, yet no one intervened, leaving the family distraught and searching for accountability.

JP McCaskey Freshman Accused of Breaking a Child’s Arm During a Football Game at Musser Park

Sammi Jo took to Facebook, posting a picture of her son with a bandaged right hand and sharing her outrage.

The incident appears to have taken place on December 8, 2025, the same day Sammi Jo first spoke out publicly about her son’s injury.

In her initial Facebook post, she shared both her heartbreak and outrage, writing:

“My poor baby has a broken wrist 😢 💔 can’t stand kids that like to bully on other kids. I’m livid. And I’ll leave it at that.”

In her post, she described the events in detail, highlighting her frustration that no one at the park stepped in and her fear that surgery might stunt her son’s growth.

She appealed to the online community, writing:

I dont know how people think this is okay and dont even get me started on his parents im sure that kid gets it from somewhere. Sad part is I cant find the kid because I dont know his name. But please fb do your thing help me find this bully who broke my son’s arm.

Her focus was on identifying the boy responsible, highlighting the lack of parental accountability, and calling for collective action to ensure justice for her child.

People quickly shared their points of view, offering sympathy and practical suggestions.

One commenter shared their advice, saying:

“Depending on what part of the park it happened. The corner bar called Corner at Musser might have seen something? I would also knock on any doors in the line of sight where it happened. I’d do this asap as I know I erase my footage daily.”

Another shared their POV and concern, saying:

“They probably live around the park or pass by there often. Someone has to recognize the kid who did this. I’m so sorry this happened to your son and I hope whoever did this faces consequences soon.”

A third shared a possible solution, saying:

“Explain to the school what happened and ask the school if they have pictures of the kids picture days and ask your son to point him out.”

What began as a simple game at Musser Park ended with a broken arm, the possibility of surgery.

Sammi Jo’s post not only documented her son’s injury but also highlighted broader concerns about safety and parental responsibility.
