In her senior season at Sierra Canyon, JuJu averaged 27.5 points, 13.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.7 blocks per game. And Watkins’ shine hasn’t died down after joining the Trojans. 

The No.1 recruit in the class of 2023, JuJu was the recent cover star of SLAM magazine. She also dropped another mesmerizing performance against the Arizona State Sun Devils, scoring 31 points with seven rebounds.

After signing the future superstars, Nike shared a statement that read, “To serve the future of athletes and sport, Nike is teaming up with inspiring young athletes who are leading the way now — both on the court and in their communities.

Just as we support them in pursuing their goals, they push us to think even bigger about the change we can create together.” 

Before signing with Nike, JuJu was already seen promoting other brands, including THE MELODY EHSANI SHOP. She shared a video announcing her partnership with the apparel brand.

On her 17th birthday in 2022, Hollywood stars, including Chris Brown, Teyana Taylor, Miguel, basketball stars James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Tina Thompson, wished her by sending short video messages.

So, we know that she has many big connections on and off the basketball court. JuJu teamed up with DJ Wagner for a Nike commercial last year.

Last year, JuJu also signed a NIL deal with House of Victory and Fletcher Jones Motorcars. She also received a 2023 Mercedes EQS through the partnership. 

In January, JuJu announced her partnership with Celsius Energy Drink and promoted the energy drink alongside Jared McCain, KJ Evans, and Cody Williams.

Last week, JuJu promoted another drink brand, Poppi, on her Instagram handle. So, it’s safer to say Watkins is snagging deals left and right.

JuJu Watkins Puts Her NIL Deal To Use 

JuJu Watkins started 2024 on a positive note. She organized the “Good JuJu Holiday Giveback” in the Watts area of Los Angeles. 

The giveback was in collaboration with Nike and The Watts Labor Community Action Committee.

JuJu’s great-grandfather, Ted Watkins Sr, established The Watts Labor Community Action Committee in 1965 as an initiative to improve the lives of those who called the South Central Los Angeles neighborhood home.

The rising basketball star provided Nike shoes and accessories to high school basketball players from Crenshaw, Jordan, and Finish First Academy. 

In a now-deleted Instagram post, JuJu was heard saying, “That is what it’s all about. Just giving back to my community and inner city.”
