American professional football coach Andy Reid shares five kids, two daughters and three sons, with his wife, Tammy Reid.
Reid is the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL and is the only NFL coach ever to win 100 games and appear in four consecutive championships with two different franchises.
The Kansas City Chiefs head coach has been one of the most celebrated coaches in the sport’s history, with over thirty years of experience on the field.
In addition to being a successful professional coach, Reid is an ideal father to his children, whom he shares with his wife, Tammy.
In 1981, Andy married his college sweetheart, Tammy, after dating for a significant period in college.
After over four decades of marriage, Andy and Tammy Reid are proud parents to five incredible kids and grandparents to 12 grandchildren.
Moreover, the football coach has always been open about his love and passion for sports and his family.
Andy Faced The Tragic Loss Of His First Born Son, Garrett Reid, In 2012
Alongside his role as an NFL coach, Andy Reid first experienced fatherhood in 1983 with the birth of his eldest son, Garrett Reid.
Garrett followed in his father’s footsteps and worked as an assistant for the Eagles’ strength and conditioning staff.
However, on August 5, 2012, the NFL coach faced the tragic loss of his firstborn son due to a heroin overdose.
In 2020, Reid’s wife, Tammy, briefly addressed the loss of her oldest child during the Super Bowl, saying:
the fact that we were all here, that was amazing. except for ‘g’. so sad, but o know he’s watching us.
The grief of losing a child is unimaginable for parents, and while they mourn Garrett’s loss, the couple feel blessed to have the presence of their other four children in their lives.

Andy’s second child, Britt Reid, was born in San Francisco when the coach was still struggling in his career.
Like his elder brother, Britt developed an interest in football, leading him to work in several assistant coaching positions.
According to The New York Times:
his father hired him to the kansas city staff after he coached a season at a high school, interned under his father with the eagles and served as a student assistant at temple.
However, Britt and his older brother, Garrett, were frequently involved with substance abuse and were also apprehended on various charges.
On November 1, 2022, Britt was further sentenced to three years in prison for a felony count of driving while intoxicated.
