Social media sensation Katie Feeney is taking her talents to ESPN, bringing along her massive digital following and fresh approach to sports content.
With over 14 million followers across platforms, the 22-year-old Penn State graduate is now officially part of the worldwide leader in sports.
Announced on Monday, Feeney will serve as a sports and lifestyle content creator for ESPN.
Her unique blend of behind-the-scenes access, fashion, culture, and first-person storytelling will now reach an even wider audience via ESPN’s social media, digital platforms, and flagship shows like Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown, and College GameDay.
From Sidelines To Center Stage
Feeney’s meteoric rise began at Penn State, where she captivated millions with her quick, engaging TikToks from the sidelines.
Reflecting on her journey, Feeney said:
“From capturing Penn State games on the sidelines to now joining the biggest platform in sports, this journey has been incredible… I grew up watching SportsCenter with my family, and I’m proud to now be part of the storytelling that brings ESPN to millions of fans around the world.”
To announce the big move, Feeney posted a playful Instagram reel from the Get Up set, catching a football and asking, “Hey, do you have a microphone I can borrow? I may need it this season.”
The post, a joint one with ESPN PR, quickly racked up likes and comments from fans thrilled to see her join the network.
Feeney’s role represents a strategic shift for ESPN as it seeks to attract younger audiences and embrace digital-native storytelling.
ESPN highlighted her “signature first-person, lifestyle-driven approach,” emphasizing her ability to connect with fans not just through stats and scores, but through fashion, culture, and experience.
Nonetheless, Feeney isn’t new to major platforms.
In 2022, she made headlines as the first-ever social media correspondent for an NFL team, the Washington Commanders.
She’s also appeared at major events like the Oscars, ESPYs, and Super Bowl LVI as an invited YouTube correspondent.
This year, she covered Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans and even teamed up with WNBA phenom Caitlin Clark and Gatorade for a football skills contest.
Katie Feeney Is Single Now

She has collaborated with major brands like Google, T-Mobile, Truist, and more, further establishing her as a top influencer in the sports lifestyle space.
