Kent State University Student George McWilliams, 21, Died, Leaving Parents and Siblings Behind!

A 21-year-old George Lawrence McWilliams of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away on April 19, 2025. However, details surrounding his demise remain unknown.

A beloved son and brother, George Lawrence, is survived by his parents and siblings.

Although the details of George’s death are yet to be ascertained, the outpouring of support and love received from the Cuyahoga Falls community has been overwhelming. Though his life here was brief, his impact was profound

A graduate of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, George McWilliams was a dedicated and hardworking student at Kent State University with experience in multiple roles.

At the time of his demise, he was working at Lake Anna YMCA as an Evening Building Supervisor or After Hours Watchman, ensuring the building’s safety, managing staff, assisting departments, and handling security after hours.

McWilliams had taken the role at Lake Anna YCMA in August 2023.

Simultaneously, George was working as a Seasonal Maintenance Worker at Summit Metro Parks since May 2022, performing landscaping, trail maintenance, road work, and janitorial tasks.

Before this, he was a Member Service Representative at Riverfront Family YMCA, helping with memberships, payments, program registrations, and general customer service.

His involvement in several areas speaks volumes about his outgoing nature and demonstrates his capacity for personal development.

Meanwhile, the McWilliams family has invited the community to join them in celebrating George’s life.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Riverfront YMCA, located at 544 Broad Blvd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, with overflow parking available at Dewitt Elementary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, where George’s faith will be honored in a service reflecting his deep spiritual life.
