Kevin Concepcion parents raised five athletic boys in Charlotte, North Carolina. The NC State wide receiver’s mother, Ariel Concepcion, has played an active role in helping her sons realize their dreams.
The 5’11 wide receiver Kevin “KC” Concepcion announced his commitment to NC State last year in August. The youngster received several offers but his heart was set on NC State as they brought a feeling of family.

And his first year at NC State has been nothing but exciting. The Shaun Alexander finalist, Kevin was named a first-team Freshman All-American by the Athletic and was also voted the ACC Rookie of the Year and the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
The wide receiver ranked second in touchdown receptions, fourth in reception, and 10th in receiving yards. Last month, the youngster had already confirmed on his Instagram Live that he was returning to NC State for another year.
Kevin Concepcion Parents: Mother Ariel And Father
Kevin Concepcion’s parents have stayed out of the public limelight. But his mother, Ariel Concepcion, previously talked about her son’s growing football career.
Speaking to 247Sports.com in 2022, Ariel said she was excited about her son’s football career and was glad he had finally decided to choose NC State.
She added that she was extremely proud of him and believed her son handled the recruiting process well. Ariel called her son mature for his age and was able to clearly communicate with the coaches from both NC State and UNC State.

When asked if she knew why her son chose NC State over UNC, Ariel said her son loved both colleges, but NC State felt more like a family. The veteran assistant of NC State, Joker Phillips, was the one tirelessly pursuing Kevin.
This stuck out to his mom, Ariel. In her interview, Ariel said Phillips would often talk to Kevin and made sure everyone was involved in his decision. He even formed a strong relationship with Kevin’s father.
Kevin’s dad has never made a public appearance. His name has never been mentioned, but he has been often seen on his wife’s Facebook handle.
In 2017, Mr and Mrs Concepcion celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary with Ariel sharing a collage photo from their romantic getaway. The couple is a parent to five boys, with all of them heading towards the athletic route.
Kevin Concepcion Siblings
The NC State wide receiver Kevin Concepcion has four siblings, all brothers. He is the oldest among his siblings.
One of his younger brothers, Arrion “NuNu” Concepcion, is also a wide receiver and plays for Julius L. Chambers High School.
Born on December 8, 2005, the 18-year-old has received offers from NC State, Miami, Virginia Tech, and Charlotte. Earlier this year, in February, NC State extended a verbal scholarship offer to the wide receiver.
Kevin’s other brother, Kennedy, turned 11 on February 9. Ariel had shared a couple of snaps of her son, whom she calls a true definition of a mama’s boy.

Llyod Concepcion, 12, is another sibling of Kevin, but unlike his two older brothers, Lloyd is looking to make a career as a basketball player. In March, Ariel made a long post on Facebook sharing how she sent Lloyd to take out the garbage, but he didn’t return for the next 15-20 minutes.
She was about to call 911 but later thought of checking near the neighborhood basketball court.
There, she saw her son playing basketball with two adults. Ariel talked about her son’s basketball talent and said only a couple of weeks ago, Lloyd had scored 24 points in one game.
Keyon Concepcion is a half-brother to Kevin. Previously, Ariel had shared a lengthy post congratulating her stepson on his first D1 offer from UNCC. Keyon currently plays football at Camden Military High School.
