Professional Career

Atlanta Hawks (2018-2022)

After Alex’s brilliant college career, he declared for the 2018 NBA Draft without an agent and was called to participate in the NBA Draft Combine.

Later, he announced on his Instagram account that he would leave Maryland and enter the NBA Draft.

Kevin worked out with the Los Angeles Lakers and thought of hiring an agent to remain in the draft. On 30th May 2018, he successfully placed himself in the NBA before his final two years of University eligibility.

The shooting guard got the breakthrough after being picked by Atlanta Hawks in the 2018 NBA Draft on June 21, 2018, as the 19th overall pick and signed with the Hawks on July 1, 2018.

After debuting with Atlanta Hawks in the NBA, Kevin bagged his first 20-point game against the Indiana Pacers on December 31, 2018. However, his team lost 116-108 to the Pacers.

Heurter continued his brilliant performance, and on January 11, 2019, he recorded a season-high 29 points against the Philadelphia 76ers. During his rookie season, he played 75 games for the Hawks, averaging 9.7 points and 3.3 rebounds.

The ‘Red Mamba’ was voted to the All-Rookie Second Team after his impressive rookie season.
