Jalen and Cheyenne both showed promise as athletes during their time as students.
Jalen excelled as both a Wide Receiver and Quarterback, while Cheyenne showcased her skills as a soccer player during her time at Wesleyan University.
Despite their athletic talents and accomplishments, neither Jalen nor Cheyenne pursued professional careers in sports like their father.
Kevin Ollie was recently promoted to interim head coach by The Brooklyn Nets after firing the head coach, Jacque Vaughn, as announced on Monday morning.
According to ESPN, Kevin Ollie is set to take over as the interim head coach. Ollie, who previously coached at the University of Connecticut and led player development at Overtime Elite, joined Vaughn’s coaching staff before the 2023-24 season started.
Before his coaching career, he played 13 seasons in the NBA and coached UConn to a national championship in 2014.
Ollie’s appointment as interim head coach marks a significant development for him and the Nets as they transition leadership.

Kevin Ollie, alongside his wife Stephanie Ollie, raised two children, a son named Jalen and a daughter named Cheyenne.
Jalen, the eldest, followed in his father’s footsteps by initially pursuing football during high school and college.
Jalen attended Avon Old Farms School for Boys, where he actively participated in sports. However, his football journey truly began to take shape in college.
He pursued a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fordham Gabelli School of Business.
During his time at Fordham, Jalen’s interest in football reignited, and he decided to join the team during his senior year, playing as a wide receiver.
After graduating, Jalen embarked on a career path in the financial sector rather than continuing in sports.
Currently, he holds a position as Client Service – Alternative Investments at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Prior to this role, he worked as a Fund Accountant at SS&C Technologies.
Despite his initial passion for sports, Jalen found a different path that aligned with his interests and skills in business.
Daughter Cheyenne Ollie Is A Former Soccer Player
The younger daughter of Kevin, Cheyenne was in a soccer team during her high school. She attended Glastonbury and was an active soccer player.
Later, she attended Wesleyan University where she pursued a major in Biology, Neuroscience, and Behavior.
While at Wesleyan, she was actively involved in soccer and was on defense on the Women’s Soccer Varsity Team.
Despite being a promising athlete, Cheyenne decided to work in her educational field. Currently, she is a Clinical Trial Associate at Axsome Therapeutics.
Prior to her current position, she interned as an In vitro Biological Discovery intern at Cerevel Therapeutics in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Kevin Ollie’s Wife And Family
Kevin is currently unmarried and does not have a wife. However, he was previously married to Stephanie Ollie for sixteen years.
Stephanie and Kevin first met during college, where they fell in love and eventually married in 2000.
Over the course of their marriage, they became parents to two children, Jalen and Cheyenne.
Unfortunately, their sixteen-year-long marriage came to an end when Stephanie filed for divorce in 2015. Currently, both Kevin and Stephanie are living their lives separately.
