Additionally, he was a Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity member at Alabama.
Later, Pride reached the semifinals of the 1991 US Amateur. Furthermore, he became professional in 1992 and competed in the 1992 US Open, missing the cut.
Pride joined the PGA Tour full-time after finishing second in the 1993 qualifying school.

Kim and Dicky married on December 17, 1994, just two years after the golfer had turned pro. But it was not the date that they had initially chosen.
Dicky had fixed the wedding date in the early months of 1994, but he faced a great dilemma.
Their wedding date clashed with the PGA Tour qualifying tournament, so Dicky did what any other passionate sportsman would do.
He decided to reschedule his wedding day, and he went on to participate in the tournament.

Dicky and his wife are the proud parents of their children, Isabelle and Fletcher. His elder daughter, Isabelle, is highly accomplished academically.
She completed her high school at Lake Highland Preparatory School in 2018. Then, she went on to pursue her love for literature and business.
She attended Columbia University, where she pursued her studies in English Literature with a Special Concentration in Business Management.
Isabelle is studying for a Doctor of Law at Harvard Law School and is expected to graduate in 2025.
On the other hand, Dicky’s son, Fletcher, is currently a student at the University of Arkansas pursuing a BS degree in accounting and Finance.
He actively participates in Kappa Sigma and Alpha Kappa Psi on campus.
Furthermore, Fletcher has completed a credit analyst internship at Legacy National Bank (June 2021 to August 2021) and an archeological internship at Search (June 2022 to August 2022).
