Kyle Higashioka is married to his long-time girlfriend, Alyse Higashioka.

Kyle Harris Higashioka is an American professional baseball catcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Born on April 20, 1990, he was raised in Huntington Beach and attended Edison High School.

During high school, he played baseball for the varsity team and later committed to play collegiate baseball for the California Golden Bears.

But he did not play for the college team as he got selected by the New York Yankees in the seventh round of the 2008 MLB draft.

Higashioka signed a deal with the Yankees, which included a $500,000 signing bonus and was assigned to the minor league team.

In 2012, he played for the Tampa Yankees of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League and Trenton Thunder.

It was only on April 10, 2017, the professional baseball catcher made his MLB debut with the Yankees following an injury to Gary Sanchez.

Besides, he has also represented the US national team in the 2023 World Baseball Classic and won silver.

Kyle and Alyse had been dating for a long time before they took the bigger step.

Their wedding took place in a private ceremony among close friends and family in Maui, Hawaii.

They announced the news of their marriage after 5 days via Instagram with a caption that read, “So thankful to be married to my incredible and beautiful wife!! 5 days in, having a blast in maui! Thanks to @kipthulin for the great photo.”

An interesting fact about Kyle and Alyse: The Higashioka couple proudly trace their roots back to Japan. Kyle even learned Japanese to make his father happy.

After more than 6 years of their marital life, they do not have any kids, but they are parents to their pet dog.

The professional baseball player and his wife are avid pet lovers and have a canine companion as the third member of their family.

In October 2018, Kyle took his Instagram to announce the addition of a new family member.

They named their pet dog after Liverpool vice-captain James “Millie” Milner, which is a golden mountain breed.

Kyle and his wife seem so in love with their furry friend and frequently post pictures of Millie.

They consider themselves the proud parents of Millie and treat her as their child.

Besides, the Higashioka couple previously had another pet dog named Diesel. However, they had to bid farewell to their beloved dog in March 2018.

Diesel was the most amazing dog with the best personality ever, and she used to bring joy to them.
