Kyle Karros And His Brother, Jared, Are Both Working Their Way Up Through the MLB Ranks!

Kyle Karros comes from a family that is very close to baseball.

His dad, Eric Karros, was a famous MLB player for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 1992 and later a Silver Slugger Award.

Kyle followed the same path by playing baseball at UCLA and later getting drafted by the Colorado Rockies.

Regarding his siblings, Kyle has two siblings, a brother and a sister, who are both talented in their own way.

His older brother, Jared Cayden Karros, is a baseball pitcher who played at UCLA, as well.

In 2020, he finished his freshman season with a 2–0 record, 3.86 ERA, and 16 strikeouts across 14 innings.

He became UCLA’s Opening Day Starter, going 2–1 with a 3.33 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 27 innings.

Also, he maintained a high strikeout-to-walk ratio and earned Pac‑12 and Director’s Honor Roll recognition for his academics.

Unfortunately, Jared missed the entire 2022 season due to injury.

In the 16th round of the 2022 MLB Draft, he was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers 495th overall.

In 2023, he moved from Low-A Rancho Cucamonga to High-A Great Lakes and finished the season, striking out 30 batters while walking only 4.

He is known for his strong pitching skills and is working toward a big baseball career.

On April 25, 2025, hr recorded six strikeouts in a single game while pitching for Tulsa.

Recently, he’s been placed on the full-season injured list for Tulsa as of July 21, 2025.

On the other hand, their sister, Mikah Maly-Karros, chose a different path and is not in sports.

While she used to play college basketball, she now works as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Beverly Hills and Redondo Beach.

She studied psychology at Pepperdine University and helps teens and young adults with mental health issues in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.

While Jared and Kyle carry on the baseball tradition, Mikah shows success in her own way, making the family supportive of each other.
