Kyle Neptune, an American basketball coach who had been the head coach of the Villanova Wildcats men’s basketball team since 2022, has been fired.

On March 15, 2025, Villanova dismissed Kyle, the head coach of the Wildcats men’s basketball team, for three seasons.

According to reports, the firing came shortly after UConn defeated the Wildcats in the Big East Tournament quarterfinals.

Neptune was fired after three disappointing seasons amid widespread fan and alumni outcry over his performance and the team’s lack of NCAA Tournament appearances.

While Neptune’s firing has made headlines, little is known about his personal life, including details about his family and love life.

As Neptune’s professional journey garners widespread attention, people are curious about his romantic life and wonder if he has a wife or has yet to marry.

However, despite raising curiosity, Kyle Neptune doesn’t have a wife yet and hasn’t shared anything about his romantic life.

The only content he shares on social media is about his parents and professional journey.

The former Villanova Wildcats Men’s basketball coach Kyle Neptune has his ancestry in Guyana.

He was born on January 21, 1985, in Brooklyn, New York, United States, to Guyanese father Alex and Trinidadian mother Brenda Neptune.

Neptune’s parents have been his constant source of support in both his personal and professional journey.

In an interview, Alex Neptune expressed his pride in the success of both of his children, stating,

“We have dedicated our lives to making sure that we provided the best opportunities for both Kyle and our daughter Alisha, and we are proud of both of their accomplishments to date.”

In addition to his parents, Kyle often expresses his love for his younger sister, Alisha Neptune, who has been a partner of Trescend for almost four years.

Alisha also served as a principal, assistant principal, and lead teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools in Brooklyn, New York, for eight years.
