Logan MacLean Is Survived By His Parents, Ellen And Greg!

Logan MacLean played as a midfielder for Illinois Institute of Technology’s men’s lacrosse team.

He had just completed his freshman season and was studying Civil Engineering.

Before college, he competed for La Jolla High School’s varsity lacrosse team, where he earned San Diego All-Academic honors in 2023 and 2024.

In his senior year at La Jolla High School in 2023, Logan MacLean played as a midfielder, wearing the #29 jersey.

His team finished the season with a 2-4 overall record, placing 4th in league play with a 0-2 record.

On a broader scale, La Jolla was ranked #1474 nationally and #101 in California.

Despite the challenges, MacLean remained a dedicated competitor, showcasing his skills and leadership on the field.

His contributions to the team set the stage for his transition to collegiate lacrosse at Illinois Institute of Technology.

Moreover, his passion for lacrosse extended beyond playing as he was involved in mentoring younger athletes and promoting the sport within his community.

Usha Gilmore, assistant vice president and athletics director at Illinois Tech, expressed deep sorrow over Logan MacLean’s passing, saying:

This is an extremely difficult time for our men’s lacrosse team and the entire Illinois Tech athletics family. Logan will be deeply missed, and we ask everyone to please keep his family, friends, and teammates in your thoughts and prayers.

The Celebration of Life for Logan MacLean is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2025, in his hometown of La Jolla, California.
