He first learned about his father during his teenage years but has never met him. In 2021, Landry reconnected with his father and also three younger half-siblings.
After meeting them, he said at Monday’s media day:
I connected with my father for the first time last year, last fall, And with that stepped in a big brother role with three younger siblings. Hadn’t met any of them. They didn’t know about me. I’ve known about them since I was like 16.
Moreover, he spent the summer of 2022 getting to know his siblings, which provided him with a support system he had never experienced before.
His father, Ron Davis, is of African-American descent and was a professional basketball player.
This blend of African-American and European heritage has influenced Landry’s identity.
