Syrus Miyashiro was a 17-year-old student at Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California, who tragically passed away by self-harm.

A junior in the class of 2026, he played for the Men’s Varsity Soccer team, where he contributed skill and enthusiasm to the team’s efforts.

He was a standout student and actively involved in extracurricular activities, including robotics.

Reports suggest that Syrus Miyashiro died by suicide on April 10, 2025, due to a self-inflicted injury. His passing was publicly acknowledged on April 19, 2025.

Syrus Miyashiro was a promising young athlete at Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California.

During his sophomore year in 2023, he played for the school’s Men’s Varsity Soccer team, Las Lomas JV Soccer, wearing jersey number #7.

He consistently demonstrated sportsmanship, gaining respect from teammates and coaches alike.

His commitment to soccer was evident in his strong work ethic during practices and games.

Also, his involvement in soccer was a key part of his high school experience, reflecting his passion for athletics and community engagement.

As an underclassman, Syrus was still in the early stages of his athletic journey, but his commitment to the sport suggested a bright future.

His teammates and coaches admired his hard work, sportsmanship, and quiet determination.

Additionally, beyond sports, he had a passion for music, particularly playing the piano.
