Jerry L. “Sport” Jordan, a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, passed away at 64.

He was born on September 4, 1961, in Brownsville, PA, to Leola (Jordan) Hugh of New Santon and the late Jerry Jennings and step-father Merille Hugh.

He graduated from Laurel Highlands High School in 1979. He held many different jobs, but was previously employed through PennDot.

Jordan loved spending time with everyone at family gatherings, especially cookouts. He enjoyed wrestling and football.

Community Mourns The Tragic Death Of Jerry L. “Sport” Jordan

The sources claimed that Jerry L. “Sport” Jordan passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 64.

However, the cause of death has not been revealed.

Several close ones and relatives have offered their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Jerry’s family to stay strong in this difficult time.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.

Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 10 am until the hour of the funeral service at 11 am.

Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary C. Jordan; children, Shawna Jordan of Republic, Melody Jordan of Brownsville, Amy Jordan (Glenn Shuford) of Grindstone, and Joshua Jordan of Uniontown.
