He was born on January 29, 1952, in Rouen, and began his career at AS Choisy-le-Roi and joined Paris Saint-Germain in 1974, where he played for five seasons and became known for his pace.

Dominique Lokoli had a successful career as a professional soccer player playing as a defender for various teams such as Paris Saint-Germain, Nancy, Auxerre, Reims, and Montélimar.

He was known for his pace as a defender and was nicknamed “Bip-Bip” by his teammates at PSG.

On the other hand, information regarding his mother hasn’t been disclosed, but Dominique and his wife got divorced when Laurent was about 12 years old.

Laurent Lokoli was born on October 18th, 1994, in Bastia, France. He is the son of former French soccer player Dominique Lokoli.

Laurent grew up with his parents and three older sisters in Corsica, a small island in the Mediterranean Sea.

At age 10, he faced a huge challenge when one of his sisters was diagnosed with cancer. Over the next two years, he witnessed her fighting for her life and felt powerless when she lost her hair and cried while hugging him.

Nevertheless, after a long and hard battle, she conquered cancer and made him promise to persevere.

Afterward, he left home at the age of 12 to train in tennis. However, he struggled because of the divorce of his parents and his loneliness.

Subsequently, he finally found his rhythm, but then he experienced the deepest pain of his life.

When he was 14, his eldest sister, who was a lawyer and his role model, passed away in a car accident at the age of 28.

Laurent felt as if someone had taken his heart from his chest, and he was unable to cope with the grief. Moreover, this event completely transformed him, and he fought his pain in darkness and isolation.

Additionally, he was perceived as an outsider in the French Federation and had difficulty making friends.
