Drew Lehman, a cherished son, friend, teammate, and member of the Le Mars community, passed away in May 2025 at 24.

He was a lifelong resident of Le Mars and a proud student at Gehlen Catholic High School. Later, he earned his diploma from Le Mars Alternative School.

Drew had a quiet demeanor but made a lasting impact through his kindness, determination, and unwavering spirit. His passion for football was undeniable.

He was a dedicated athlete and wore jersey number 2 as a middle school football player in High School. His tenacity and heart on the field far outweighed his physical stature.

Moreover, his Coaches and teammates admired his work ethic, resilience, and sportsmanship in every game and practice.

Drew was a cherished son, friend, teammate, and member of the Le Mars community. His unexpected departure left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Drew Lehman’s Family Mourns The Tragic Loss

The Le Mars community is heartbroken by Drew Lehman’s sudden passing. His infectious smile, unwavering determination, and kind spirit touched countless lives.

He inspired those around him with his work ethic and leadership. His teammates remember him for his athletic ability, humility, and willingness to lift others.

Drew Lehman, the son of Dan Lehman and Melissa Sue Anderson, was born in 2001. His parents raised him alongside his two siblings, Dylan and Dane.

Dan and Melissa divorced, and Melissa married Mark Anderson in 2022.

She studied elementary education at Buena Vista University and graduated from Northeast Community College. Later, she became a Tea Area School District third-grade teacher.

Meanwhile, Dan is single and serves as a public address announcer at Gehlen Catholic Varsity Athletics.

He studied communications at Briar Cliff University and works as a Safety Specialist at BoDeans Baking.

Drew was a loyal friend, father, loving son, brother, and a bright light in all who knew him. His genuine nature left a lasting impression on his peers, teachers, and the entire Le Mars community.

Drew’s son, Kyson, parents, siblings, countless friends, teammates, and loved ones will forever cherish his memory.

Moreover, his grandmother, Sharon, and great-grandmother, Larson, preceded him in death.

The Lehman family will soon announce Drew’s memorial service. To honor his legacy, the family requests donations instead of flowers.

Drew will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.
