His wife, AshleyChuck Cogdell, first posted on Facebook, saying,

Please God don’t take my husband away from me not right now.

Later, after an hour, she confirmed his passing with a heartfelt post, saying:

God please help me I lost my husband today my world my best friend I don’t know how to handle this.
