A 1971 graduate of Cario High School, Ronald Lynn Settle passed away at WVU Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV.

Ronald Lynn Settle was the son of the Late Leroy and Lela Pearl Settle.

He retired from Ames of Parkersburg, WV, after 35 years of service and coached Little League baseball, specifically for the “Newark Braves,” for several years.

Settle also enjoyed dancing, horseback riding, and shooting pool.

Former baseball coach Ronald Lynn Settle tied the knot with Kathleen Jo Phillips on November 16, 1973, after dating for several years.

Kathleen, 68, was born to her father, Ercle, and her mother, Carole (Marz) Phillips, on July 21, 1957.

Although Kathleen has kept her other details private, she supported Ronald in balancing his professional and personal life.

Sadly, their married life ended after 51 years, following the tragic death of Ronald.

The couple had their first child, a daughter, Kimberly Jo, 49, on July 13, 1976. They welcomed their second daughter, Rebecca Lynn, 47, on June 1, 1978.

Moreover, Ronald and Kathleen had four grandchildren: Anastasha, Dakota, Tyler, and Chase, as well as two great-grandchildren, Addison and Rhydian.

They are currently mourning the tragic loss of their supportive and devoted father, Ronald Lynn Settle.

Ronald is also survived by his two brothers, David Lee and Leroy Jr., and one sister, Patricia Jean.
