The Hammers ‘Ridiculed’ by VAR
VAR has been a touchy subject for most football fans all around the world. The decisions taken by the referees operating the VAR have proven controversial most of the time.
West Ham became the unfortunate team to face a ridiculous decision in their match against Chelsea.
The Hammers were losing by a goal to nil and were looking for a comeback, which was likely to happen.
Fabian Balbuena, who plays as a center back received a red card after his studs caught Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell.
However, there is a valid argument that there was no other place for Fabian to place his feet after clearing the ball.
Every football fan who takes the game seriously knows that this should not have been a red card.
The referees might face some backlash from the West Ham fans due to this decision.
Being down to 10 men, the home side were looking to make a comeback but couldn’t as they lacked players.
With this loss, the Hammers are now 3 points behind Chelsea in 5th and still have hope of making it into the European competitions next season.
David Moyes believes that the decision taken by the referee to send of Fabian was ‘rubbish’ and ‘made by somebody who has never played the game.”
Tuchel Makes History
Having taken over from Frank Lampard mid-season, this Chelsea team has improved drastically over the course of the season.
With the win against West Ham, Thomas Tuchel has become the first Chelsea manager to remain unbeaten in 10 away games.
The 47-year-old German manager has yet to taste defeat on the road.
10 – Thomas Tuchel is unbeaten in all 10 away matches with Chelsea (W8 D2) and is only the second manager in Premier League history to remain unbeaten in his first 10 away games in all competitions with a club, after Claudio Ranieri with Leicester City in 2015 (11). Accomplished.

Chelsea will face Leicester City in the F.A Cup final on the 15th of May, 2021.
Just like West Ham, the Blues are fighting for the Champions League places next season with the likes of West Ham, Leicester City, and Liverpool.
West Ham currently are not in any other competitions apart from the Premier League, so their sole focus will be on reaching the top four.
There is hope for David Moyes’s side as they are just 3 points behind Chelsea with 5 games remaining.
Chelsea will look to solidify their spot in the top four of the Premier League whilst continuing their European and domestic cup competitions.
