Richard Armstrong Is Survived By His Wife, Shari Petersen

In 1986, while working at Rock Bottom, Richard’s future wife, Shari Petersen, was introduced to him by her brother, Roger.

Richard and his wife enjoyed serving the public. They adored all animals, especially the many cats and sheltie dogs they had.

In addition, they sponsored many animals at the Antioch Animal Shelter.

After dating for several years, the couple tied the knot in 1988.

Sadly, their married life ended after 37 years following the tragic death of Richard Armstrong. As per the source, they were not blessed with any children.

Before Richard’s death, he looked forward to annual trips to Maui with his wife, Shari Petersen.

Shari has avoided social media, so little information about her personal life is known.

In Case You Didn’t Know

  • Over the past 30 years, Richard relocated his music store four times—never moving more than a block. However, after downsizing to a smaller location in the Eastwood Shopping Center, the business experienced a noticeable decline.
  • His store was known for rarely selling out of the latest CD, cassette, eight-track, or vinyl record on its release day, for Armstrong’s inside information about upcoming concerts, and for being one of the first stores to allow customers to listen to music before purchasing it.
  • Richard loved to make people happy and enjoyed singing to his fur babies. He always smiled except when his Philadelphia Eagles lost the match.
