Running the #729, his career best was an 18th in the 250 class at the 2002 Hangtown National.
Moreover, Mark made 14 AMA Pro Motocross starts, mainly in the 250MX class, riding Yamaha and Kawasaki bikes.
He raced at iconic tracks such as RedBud, Unadilla, Budds Creek, and High Point Raceway, often finishing in the top 40, with his best result being 21st place at Hangtown in 2002.
Though he didn’t reach the podium, his determination and technical skill earned him respect among fellow racers.
After retiring from racing, he relocated to New Jersey and founded MX Schools, LLC, in West Milford.
He trained young riders in both technique and mindset, emphasizing safety, discipline, and sportsmanship.
His school became a hub for motocross families, and his coaching helped launch many amateur careers.
Wundrack’s sudden passing at age 44 left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire community.
One of his friends shared a heartfelt tribute remembering the old good days with Mark, saying:
ver since I was a little kid in pinecliff I’d get off the bus to hear in the distance of a 2 stroke ripping at titisis pit. I would get home throw my backpack in the house I ride up there to watch you throw down laps all afternoon. I could easily say you were the one who got me into dirtbikes! Gonna miss you brotha. Very sad. Spent a lot of weekends locked in battle with Mark. I miss those days. We had lots of fun racing, or when he would pick up a stray snapping turtle and surprise you with it when he went to take his bike out of the truck at open practice!
We won’t forget you Mark!
Rip #729
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Mark Wundrack’s family, friends, and well-wishers.
