Drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft after a turbulent end to his college career at LSU, Mathieu quickly silenced doubters with his play.

In 2015, he earned his first All-Pro selection, posting five interceptions and 17 passes defended.
