Brian Kelly has been the head coach at Louisiana State University since the 2022 season. He enjoys the best of life with his wife, Paqui Kelly. Their life together is full of love, strength, and family dedication.

Brian and Paqui met as he took his first coaching job at Grand Valley State University. He was an assistant coach; Paqui taught chemistry.

They met during this critical period of their lives, which marked the beginning of a lifelong relationship.

They married in 1994 and have shared the highs and lows of college football ever since. Through all these years, Paqui has supported Brian’s career. Kelly’s couple has three children: Patrick, Grace, and Kenzel.

Patrick, the oldest one, graduated from Notre Dame, where he played football under his father’s guidance. He now works as a financial analyst in Chicago.

On the other hand, Kenzel also attended Notre Dame and, like his father, played for the college football team.

Their daughter Grace works now as a marketing manager. She had been a student broadcaster at Notre Dame.

Paqui Kelly Exudes Her Strength As A Supportive Wife And Through Her Battles

Brian Kelly’s wife, Paqui, is a survivor of breast cancer twice over. At 37, during a routine check-up, she discovered a lump that led to her first diagnosis in 2002.

With no history of cancer within her family, she bravely faced this challenge.

Nine months from the date of being five years free of cancer, in 2007, Paqui was diagnosed again.

This time, she opted to have both breasts removed to reduce significantly the chances of cancer returning.

Throughout her test, she remained positive and even planned a party for her children to cut off her hair before she started her chemotherapy.

Her experiences made her and Brian start the Kelly Cares Foundation in 2008.

This foundation works on health, education, and helping the community, primarily to raise awareness about breast cancer.

Brian and Paqui Kelly care about their community outside of their family life.

Recently, they shared the Kelly Family Million Dollar Match Challenge, where they promised to match public support for Name, Image, and Likeness programs at LSU Athletics with a donation of up to $1 million.

Paqui’s story inspires her family and many others who go through the same battles.

She aims hard to create awareness of breast cancer and how important it is to find the disease early and to support those who have it.

In short, Brian Kelly’s wife, Paqui Kelly, is brave and strong. Their life together proves the power of love and support during life’s challenges.
