Louisiana State University Head Coach Ed Orgeron Is Happily Engaged To His Fiancé, Brandy Nicole After Divorcing His Ex-Wife Kelly Orgeron After 23 Years of Marriage

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron has two ex-wives, Colleen Orgeron and Kelly Orgeron. After over two decades of marriage, he divorced the latter in 2020 and is currently engaged to his fiancé, Brandy Nicole.

The 63-year-old coach Edward James Orgeron Jr., best known as Ed Orgeron, has married twice so far.

Before marrying Kelly, Ed was married to his first wife, Colleen Orgero; however, their marriage was short-lived. The couple tied the knot in 1992 and divorced in 1994.

Meanwhile, their marriage and divorce’s intricate details and timeline aren’t widely publicized.

Following the divorce, Ed and Kelly met on a blind date at the 1996 Liberty Bowl. In 1997, the couple tied the knot in nearly no time.

Unfortunately, their seemingly blissful marriage fell apart after 23 years of marriage in 2020.

The prime reason behind their failed marriage after two decades is a combination of personal and professional challenges.

Ed’s demanding career as a football coach often required him to live out of hotel rooms, which strained their relationship.

Likewise, Kelly also battled depression for nearly three decades, which added to the difficulties they faced.

The couple separated in February 2020, and Ed filed for divorce shortly after. That said, despite the challenges, the former couple has maintained a cordial relationship post-divorce.

Ed Orgeron and His Ex-wife, Kelly, Raised Three Sons, Twin Sons and One From Kelly’s Previous Marriage!

The former couple, Ed and Kelly Orgeron, had two sons, Cody and Parker Orgeron. Kelly also has a son, Tyler Spotts-Orgeron, from her previous marriage.

They extended their family of two to three with the arrival of their twin boys, Cody and Parker, on February 10, 1998.

Cody Orgeron is the most prominent of Ed’s children in sports. He played quarterback at Mandeville High School and later committed to McNeese State University.

Currently, he is a coach and analyst at Miami Hurricanes Football.

He has been the starting quarterback for McNeese State, where he has shown excellent talent.

Parker was also involved in the sports industry. He played football at McNeese State University, following his father’s legacy.

Meanwhile, Parker is a quality control coach at the Baylor Bears Football team.

Meanwhile, Tyler Spotts-Orgeron, Kelly’s son from a previous marriage, has taken a different path. He works as an offensive analyst on Tulane University Athletics, contributing to the game from the sidelines.

Kelly Orgeron Has Battled With Scoliosis For Most of Her Life!

Kelly was born in Lake City, Arkansas, and grew up as an athlete. Despite battling scoliosis, he played basketball and tennis and won state championships.

She had been battling scoliosis for most of her life, which has required multiple surgeries.

In 2017, during one of these surgeries, a surgeon accidentally punctured her colon, leading to severe complications.

She had to undergo emergency surgery to address the issue, and there was a moment when doctors warned Ed that she might not survive.

Reportedly, Kelly had a near-death experience in 2018, just a few months before Ed’s first entire season as LSU head coach began.

Despite the life-threatening situations, she remained resilient and came back from every surgery like a warrior.
