Sports Illustrated swimwear model Brooks Nader and her ex-husband, Billy Haire, were together for nearly a decade before they announced their divorce.
The couple crossed paths in 2015 in New York City when Nader was just 19 and Haire was 11 years her senior.
Reportedly, their first date didn’t go smoothly, which was at BondSt, a sushi restaurant in New York City.
Haire arrived 20 minutes late, and Brooks was unwell, suffering from a stomach bug. She reportedly rushed to the bathroom after her first bite of sushi, leaving Billy to think she didn’t like him.
Despite the rocky start, their connection turned into a relationship. After dating for three years, Brooks and Billy got engaged in 2018.
A year later, Nader and Haire married on December 14, 2019, in a grand ceremony at St. Mary’s Church in New Orleans, Louisiana.
During their time together, Brooks’ modeling career took off, especially with her appearances in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues, including a cover feature in 2023.
Meanwhile, Haire built a successful career in media, serving as the Senior Vice President of Digital Sales and Partnerships at Minute Media.
He also graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in economics and history and later earned an MBA from NYU.
However, the couple’s seemingly sound married life turned sour. By early 2024, they were living apart.
Later, Nader and Haire announced their divorce in May 2024, citing that it was amicable.

After five years, the couple’s divorce was finalized in early 2025.
However, the precise details of their divorce settlement remain concealed as both parties signed a mutually exclusive non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to keep the specifics private.
The agreement prevented them from sharing specific details surrounding the ending of their marriage.
Nader discussed this on The Viall Files podcast in August 2025, explaining that while she can talk about her own experiences, the NDA limits her from revealing everything about the breakup.
Likewise, in The Viall Files, she also shared her experience of ending the marriage, which was a tough decision, especially since Billy was her first serious relationship, saying:
It was a really, really hard decision to get a divorce just because you don’t love somebody. That’s why I did it.

Despite the divorce, there seems to be no bad blood. In fact, Nader’s parents, Holland and Breaux Nader, revealed on her Hulu reality show, Love Thy Nader, that they still keep in touch with Haire.
Her father even called him a “golfing buddy,” and her mother mentioned wishing him a Merry Christmas.
