Lucas Edward Fryc, a Bordentown, New Jersey native and student-athlete at Rowan College, passed away on September 18, 2025, at an untimely age of 20, leaving his family and loved ones heartbroken.
While his family hasn’t yet disclosed the details regarding the untimely death of Lucas Fryc, many of his loved ones are paying tribute to him and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.
Born on April 24, 2005, in Bordentown, New Jersey, to parents Edward Fryc and Jenna Reichert Fryc, Lucas Fryc began his athletic journey from a very young age.
He grew up playing multiple sports, but chose to pursue a soccer career and was continuing that path in college.
Lucas was attending Rowan College of South Jersey, where he was a pivotal member of the men’s soccer team.
Similarly, he captained the RCSJ Soccer Team in both 2023 and 2024, leading them to the NJCAA national finals in 2024.
In addition to his sports journey, Lucas also excelled academically at Rowan College. Majoring in chemistry, he loved working in the lab and was a dedicated student and leader.
Lucas earned the 2025 RCSJ President’s Award for Leadership and Service, as well as the President’s Award for Excellence in Chemistry.
Late Lucas Fryc was a Former Bordentown Regional High School Soccer Star
Prior to joining the Rowan College of South Jersey men’s soccer team, Lucas Fryc won the hearts of many with his remarkable athletic journey at Bordentown Regional High School.
He was a four-year varsity soccer player at Bordentown Regional, from which he graduated in 2023.
Furthermore, throughout his athletic journey, Lucas won several honorable titles.
He was a two-time first team BCSL All-Patriot League selection, BCSL Patriot League Defender of the Year, and earned Second Team All-State South and All-South Jersey honors.
Lucas also played in the South Jersey Soccer Coaches Senior All-Star Game. He also played club soccer with Match Fit Academy and was determined to pursue his soccer journey professionally.
Lucas Fryc’s contributions to the sports community and his kind and cheerful nature will always be remembered.
In addition to his parents, Edward and Jenna, Lucas Fryc is survived by his brother Ryan Fryc, his grandparents, Irene Wojtczuk, Donna and John Winzinger, and Craig Reichert, his great-grandmother, Helen Steen, his aunts and uncles, Tom and Lori Fryc, John and Rachel Fryc, Jen and Shaun Cooney, and Brian and Anne Reichert, and his cousins, Meghan and Jeremy Eletto, Aleksander Fryc, Jacob Fryc, Olivia Fryc, Kevin Fryc, Declan Cooney, and John and Katie Reichert.

- Visitation will be held at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, NJ, on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
- Burial to follow at Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
