Later, on December 8, 2011, the Seattle Mariners picked him in a Rule 5 Draft. Among other players in that draft was Marwin González, whom he would join in the 2022 roster of the New York Yankees.

On April 7, 2012, Luetge made his MLB debut with the Mariners, and later, on June 8, he was among six pitchers in a no-hit victory against the Dodgers.

After Stephen Pryor and Kevin Millwood were removed from the game, Lucas became the fourth pitcher to complete the no-hitter. In 40.2 innings of work during his rookie season, Luetge had a 3.98 ERA and 38 strikeouts.

In 2013 and 2014, Lucas split time between Seattle and the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers, with a 4.86 ERA and 5.00 ERA.

After the Mariners removed him from the 40-man roster, Lucas Luetge announced free agency on November 7, 2015.

Minor League Baseball Career

Following a stint in the Mariners, Lucas became a 40-man roster for Los Angeles Angelson, a minor league contract on November 17, 2015.

On February 17, 2021, they signed him on a minor league contract and gave him a non-roster invitation.

Lucas Luetge got into New York Yankees’ Opening Day roster on March 31, 2021, joining the leading rosters: DJ LeMahieu, Aaron Judge, Tyler Wade, Gerrit Cole, and Nestor Cortés Jr.
