The Chiefs’ Lucas was born on August 19, 1998, to his parents, Nabi Niang and Fatou Niang, in New York.

Lucas enrolled in 2016 and played for the Texas Christian Horned Frogs Football team in 12 games. To count a total, he pumped in for 13 games as a freshman that fall.

For his sophomore year, Lucas became a starter in the midseason in 2017 and assisted his team Horned Frogs to nag first place in the Big-12 Championship Game and a victory over Stanford in the 2017 Alamo Bowl.

In his junior year, Lucas started in all 13 games as a correct tackle 2018. He grabbed the  2nd Team All-Big 12 honors without allowing even a single sack.

Surviving the hip injury

Well, things have gone so well so far. But here was bad news certainly waiting for him.  TCU star offensive tackle Lucas had to go through a season-ending surgery in 2019.

The surgery was for a torn hip labrum, and it would require three to four months to recover the injury.

Lucas was obliged to end his senior season earlier as a specialist advised him to shut down his playing career for a while.

As the saying goes, precaution is better than cure; if the injury were not treated well on time, it would lead to a life-threatening issue.

He led his team at TCU to a merciful win against the University of Texas in late October 2019.

According to sources, Lucas again dropped in back for his senior season at TCU and discussed finishing his unfinished business with the Frogs, but he did not get the chance to show up on the field.
