Lukas Dragicevic’s parents, Sheryl and Milan Dragicevic, come from athletic backgrounds. The NHL player’s dad previously played in WHL and is currently a hockey coach.
Having his father as a coach certainly helped Lukas improve his gameplay. But without the will to succeed, the youngster wouldn’t have made it this far anyway.
The 19-year-old played in the WHL for Tri-City Americans before becoming the 57th overall player in the 2023 NHL Draft for Seattle Kraken.
Standing at 6ft 1, Lukas plays defense and earned his team 75 points last season in the WHL. The 2023 NHL Draft has seen Connor Bedard become the no.1 overall pick, with Chicago Blackhawks selecting the WHL star player.

Lukas Dragicevic’s parents, Sheryl and Milan Dragicevic, raised two kids in Richmond, Canada. The teenager has an older sister named Emily Dragicevic.
His mother, Sheryl Dragicevic, is the owner of the company 3 Sisters Yoga Cards for Kids. Along with making yoga cards, the company also teaches young kids the basic of yoga.
It is located in Edmonton, Alberta, and recently conducted its yoga classes for kids. The company gets its name from its owners, Sheryl and her two sisters, Sara and Shauna.
Growing up, the three sisters shared their love for yoga and slowly started teaching yoga as they got older. They began their yoga teacher journey in 2017/18 when they taught kids in remote communities in Northern Alberta the benefits of yoga.
On the company website, it’s been stated that Sheryl is an Educational Assistant in a Catholic school. She also completed her training with YogaKids in 2017 and a year later with CHI Kids.
Milan Dragicevic Is A Former Hockey Player
Lukas’ father, Milan Dragicevic, played defense during his tenure as a hockey player.
Born on July 13, 1970, Milan began his career as a hockey player with Sherwood Park Crusaders in AJHL in 1985. He then went on to play for Regina Pats in WHL for two seasons before moving on to play with Tri-City Americans.
The other WHL teams Milan played for were New Westminster Bruins, Spokane Chiefs, and Victoria Cougars. For four seasons Milan then played for Acadia University Axemen in the USports.
After retiring as a player, Milan began his career as a coach. He joined Tri-City Americans as an assistant coach in 1994 and since 1998, has been head coach of various teams.
Milan has been Delta Hockey Academy U-18 prep’s head coach for five seasons, beginning in 2018. He previously managed the University of British Columbia.
In an interview with CHL Hockey, Lukas shared he has a strong bond with his dad and that they talk pretty much every day.
Milan also had the opportunity to coach his son for a season with Delta Hockey Academy.
Lukas Dragicevic Story So Far
Lukas Dragicevic’s professional career began with Delta Hockey Academy when he joined them for the 2018-19 season.
He played 29 games in his first season for the U-15 team and earned 30 points for his team. He played for Delta until 2020 before moving on with Tri-City Americans in WHL.
In his first season with Tri-City Americans in 2020, Lukas played in six games but didn’t have much input. But it changed in the second season, as the youngster played 62 games and earned 32 points.
In that same year, Lukas represented Canada at the U-18 level and played four games, earning three points. In the last season, Dragicevic played six more games than last season and earned his side 75 points.
