Career

According to Texas Sports as a freshman, his first career pitch was against Texas Southern, with only one earned run and two strikeouts (5/10).

He threw 1.2 innings with none earned runs and two strikeouts against Ohio State University (5/1).

Similarly, he was a four-year starter as an outfielder and pitcher under the head coach Aaron Schneider at Lutheran South Academy.

In the meantime, he was named to the All-State tournament team after earning a second-straight State Championship in 2018 and was All-State as a junior in 2019.

Likewise, he was honorable mention All-District and All-State tournament team after winning the 2017 State Championship.

Also, he was a two-time all-district quarterback and a three-year starter for the football team.

Luke is in the Texas Longhorn team and finished the 2022 season with a 47-22. As a result, they got advanced in the College World Series.

Although the team got eliminated against Texas A&M, Luke’s performance was good during the play, as he could control the damage with a groundball double play.
