The first overall pick of the 2023 NFL draft, Bryce Young, has a god-sister named; Madison Potts.

On April 27, 2023, the Carolina Panthers drafted the Philadelphia-born player in the first round of the draft.

The quarterback spent most of his teenage years and attended high school in California.

By the end of his high school career, he was ranked as the nation’s number-one quarterback prospect and the second-overall recruit in the country.

Bryce Young Sister: Madison Potts

Bryce Young is the only biological child born to his parents. However, he has one god-sister, Maddison Potts (born: September 30, 1999).

Maddison, sister of Bryce Young, attended Chattahoochee Technical College and graduated in 2021 from Kennesaw State University, majoring in political science.

She completed her internship at Be the Bridge, where she worked for one year and three months.

Maddison is currently working as an equity transformation specialist at Courageous Conversation.

Additionally, she is also a board member of the Courageous Conversation Global Foundation.

Talking about her personal life, Madison Potts is married to Earl McAdoo since January 1, 2023. 

Earl McAdoo enrolled in West Bloomfield High School before transferring to McEachern High School.

He then completed his Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kennesaw State University. Earl then previously worked as a brand ambassador at KIND Snacks.

Earl is currently working as a senior sales associate at CarMax.

Bryce Christopher Young was born to Julie and Craig Young on July 25, 2001, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

His parents are African-American and have been married since July 29, 1995, for over 27 years.

They have supported Bryce since his childhood in pursuing football, as they had hired a coach when he was just five years old.

The football player is very thankful and grateful to his parents for their role in helping him reach the current stage.

His father, Craig Young, has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College.

According to his website, Craig is a licensed therapist and has worked for more than 25 years in the mental health field.

In addition, he is a consultant, speaker, and counselor and operates a Young Consulting Group.

However, the information regarding Bryce Young’s mother is currently under review.

High School & College Career

The quarterback attended Cathedral High School before transferring to Mater Dei High School for his last two years.

In his senior year, he was named the Los Angeles Times Player of the Year and California’s Gatorade Football Player of the Year.

Young completed 58 touchdowns and passed 13,520 yards in his entire high school.

Ranked a five-star recruit, he initially committed to play collegiate football for the University of Southern California.

But he later committed and decided to play for the University of Alabama.

Throughout the 2020 season, he was a backup to Mac Jones and played in nine games in his first year. 

Bryce Young became the first Alabama quarterback to win the prestigious award Heisman trophy in his sophomore year.

In his junior year, he led his team to an 11-2 record and announced that he would enter the 2023 NFL draft.

Young passed for  8356 yards and completed 80 passing touchdowns and 7 rushing touchdowns in his three years of varsity football.
