His sudden demise hit hard for his family, friends, and everyone who knew him from his participation in running races.

My Bubby, my big brother, my traveling partner, my shoulder to cry on, my best friend. Words can’t even describe the absolute heartache of this loss 💔

Just two days before his passing, Bubby had completed his 19th race of 2025 on November 1. He had shared the news on Facebook, writing:
19th race of 2025 – Cooper Farms 5k – 28:56. Really regretted forgetting my hat; my poor head froze! 🥶 besides that a really solid run and felt a lot better about my time than I have been. So many kind strangers at this 5k; I don’t think I’ve had so many random conversations at a race before!

He also leaves behind his beloved grandparents, Jack Bingham, Bonnie and Randy Ross, and Sharon Beavins, as well as Fred Smith.
Bubby will be missed by his several aunts and uncles, including Shawn Trissel, Jeff Beavins, Jenny (Tom) Severance, Christina (Kathy Glunt) Beavins, Karen Meinsen, and Amy (Mark) Lacey.
His aunt, Jenny, wrote:

Not to be forgotten, he also leaves behind his family dog, Karly, as well as several friends and extended family members.
Bubby was preceded in demise by his grandfather, Joe Beavins, his great-grandparents, Bob and Elcie Anthony; his uncle, Joel Beavins, and his aunt, Mendy Trissel.
Born on March 23, 1992, Bubby graduated from Tri-Village High School in 2010. Then, he attended Ball State University and earned a degree in political science.
During his time at Ball State, he grabbed an opportunity to study abroad at Keele University in England. He loved his time abroad so much that he returned for his master’s degree immediately afterward.
Bubby worked at IU East in Richmond as the assistant director of academic advising. He genuinely liked the job as he loved helping students there.
Outside of work, he read a lot and served on the board of the New Madison Library for the last few years.
Above all, travelling was Bubby’s thing. He was always up for something new and loved an adrenaline rush.
Anyone who knew him knew that just running was his big passion. He would run 5K races almost every weekend and finished more than 200 of them in his life.
However, he is no longer among us. That said, he will remain immortal in his loved ones’ lives through his memories.
To remember and honor him, a visitation to meet his family is scheduled for Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, located on North Broadway Street in Greenville.
The celebration of his life will take place on Monday, November 10, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM at the exact location.
During this ordeal, we pray for the strength of his parents, grandparents, friends, and extended family.
Rest In Heavenly Peace, Marcus “Bubby” Alan Bingham!
