He played collegiate basketball for the Arizona State Sun Devils. After his freshman year, he declared for the 2021 NBA draft on April 6, 2021.

He kept his college eligibility and signed up for the transfer portal. However, he withdrew from the draft and returned to Arizona State for his sophomore season.

During college, he played 17 games and averaged 10.9 points per game.

On June 22, 2023, he reportedly signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Philadelphia 76ers after the 2023 NBA draft’s second round.

The Sacramento Kings drafted Marvin as the second overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

He played 148 games for the Sacramento Kings, averaging 13.5 points per game.

The youngest brother, Martray, also plays basketball. According to his Instagram stories, he received an offer from Louisville University.

Moreover, Martray plays basketball for Team Bagley Youth Basketball and will graduate in 2028.

Reportedly Inked A Deal With Sixers

After the conclusion of the NBA Draft’s second round, Marcus Bagley reportedly secured an Exhibit 10 contract with the Philadelphia 76ers.

His excellent athleticism and shooting skills impressed the Sixers, which led to his signing.

However, his journey to secure a spot on the team’s roster will not be easy as there is considerable competition among rookies alone.

Following the draft, the Sixers wasted no time and inked two-way deals with Ricky Council IV, Azuolas Tubelis, and Terquavion Smith.

Like these three players, who have signed two-way contracts, Marcus Bagley also is expected to have an opportunity to display his abilities during the Las Vegas summer league.

After that, he will likely participate in the team’s training camp before being assigned to the G League.

This progression allows Bagley to gain valuable experience and further develop his skills as he works towards potentially earning a spot on the Sixers’ roster in the future.
