Born on 19 October 1982, Andreas Matt is a retired freestyle skier specializing in the skicross discipline. Making his World Cup debut in 2004, he played on the field till 2016.

According to the sources, Mario Matt commenced practicing at the early age of two.
Following it, he has been on the field through several small competitions. Martin started playing in the FIS European Cup by the age of fourteen.
Not long after it, Mario made his World Cup debut in December 1999. As the event took place at Kranjska Gora, where he finished with a very respectable 17th place.
Later, he then won his first of 15 races, triumphing with a starting number of 50 in Kitzbuehel.
Well, among his 15 World Cup victories, Mario bagged 14 in slalom and one super combined. By the year 2001, Mario bagged the World Championship in slalom.
But, coming to 2002, Kitzbühel became an unlucky venue for him when he fell and hurt his shoulder. Unfortunately, this incident kept him away from the Olympic Games.
After Mario got well with his injury, indeed, he commenced on the field again. However, he only bagged his other World Cup win three years later in Lenzerheide, Switzerland. As he bounced back in 2007, his 2008/09 season was a disappointment.
In fact, he did stand third in Levi, but he then failed to finish his next four races and didn’t see the finish line in eight of his 16 races throughout the season.
