Erin is the daughter of John Buchana, who studied at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
She is a Pilates instructor by profession and is affiliated with Club Pilates Wexford.
The pair reportedly met each other at the Carter-Finley Stadium when the American football coach was the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for NC State University.
Matt and Erin started talking and before they realized they had already fallen for one another.
Explaining their strong love, they got engaged just a year after dating and announced the news on November 16, 2016.
Married Life And Kids
Matt’s marriage with Erin wasn’t his first marriage. The American football coach was previously married to Michelle Fariello, the mother of Matt’s two kids.
Michelle worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative, and later, after their kids were born, she became a stay-at-home mom.
They met at Indiana University, and after dating for a year, they got engaged. Eventually, Matt and Michelle tied the knot in 1997.
Unfortunately, their marriage ended in a divorce. However, they welcomed two kids, Tori Canada and Chris Canada.
The Eldest Tori Is A Senior Account Executive
Tori was born as the first child of Matt and Michelle. She attended the University of South Carolina in 2016 and enrolled in the Public Relations/Image Management program.
She completed her degree in 2020, obtaining a score of 3.9 GPA with Summa Cum Laude, and received the Public Relations Student of the Year award.
Since she started college, Canada has been active in gaining as much experience as she could.
Professional Career
Tori was a congressional intern at the Office of Mike Rounds, United States Senate, for two months.
Similarly, she joined the Carolina Agency as a Public Relations Account Executive. Later, in December 2017, Matt’s daughter started working at Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc. as a Public Relations and Marketing Chari and Social Chair until January 2019.
Simultaneously, Tori also worked at the Public Relations Student Society of America at USC from September 2016 to May 2020.
She was the Director of Public Relations and Agency Director at the Carolina Agency.
Similarly, Tori worked as a Special Assistant at Jamie Harrison for the US Senate, a Freelance Communications Consultant, and a Strategic Communications Associate at Finsbury Glover Hering North America.
Currently, she is working as a Senior Account Executive at Edelman Smithfield, where she joined as an Account Executive in March 2022.
Chris Canada Is A Graduate Assistant
The youngest child of Matt and Michelle, Chris, attended two high schools, Cardinal Gibbons and Fuquay-Varina.
During high school, he played football as a quarterback for the varsity football team.
After graduating high school in 2018, he enrolled at East Carolina University and worked closely with the running backs and receivers as a student assistant.
Currently, he is serving as an offensive graduate assistant at Cincinnati and works with the quarterbacks.
