Matthew Gregory Kuchar is a professional golfer born in Winter Park, Florida, on June 21, 1978.

He started his professional career in November 2000, winning his first PGA Tour at the Honda Classic in 2002.

Additionally, Matt celebrated his early 2000s with great success before his performance plummeted on the PGA Tour.

Later Kuchar rejuvenated his career and was the PGA Tour leading money winner in 2010.

Moreover, he won the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in February 2013, his first World Golf Championship event.

Matt Kuchar & Wife Sybi Kuchar: Relationship Timeline

The couple first crossed paths while attending Georgia Institute of Technology, where they were both college athletes.

Matt was a golfer, while Sybi was a tennis player. Although they were in the same college, their romantic relationship began after they graduated in 2000.

According to Matt, they officially started dating in 2002, and after a year of being together, they got married in 2003.

They are now the parents of two sons. Their first son, Cameron Cole, was born in 2007.

Following that, their second son, Carson Wright, was born in 2009.

They reside at St. Simons, Georgina, where they stay with their two children.

Sybi, a wonderful wife, has dedicated herself to her husband’s career and can be seen supporting and motivating in his games.

She has caddied for her husband on numerous occasions. When Kuchar’s previous caddie, John Wood, withdrew from the BMW Championship, the American golfer sought the assistance of his wife instead.

Moreover, the duo won the consolation title in the USTA National Husband/Wife Doubles Championship in 2009 as a team.

Parents & Family Life

Matt Kuchar was born to his parents, Peter and Meg Kuchar. He grew up with his sister, Rebecca.

His father, Peter, played collegiate tennis and worked as a life insurance salesman.

Presently, Matt’s sons must have followed their father’s path and started playing golf at an early age.

They must have been inspired to follow in his footsteps and often accompanied him to his games, supporting and watching him play.

On May 2, 2023, Matt’s elder son, Cameron Cole, secured second place at Florida’s Wellington National Golf Club, trailing by just one shot.

Matt and his elder son have previously played together in PNC Championships twice.

Similarly, he had also played alongside his younger son, Carson Wright.

With guidance from their father, both of his sons are destined to become great players in the future.

Their parents have provided a supportive environment, laying the foundation for both sons’ success in life.
