The six-time PGA Tour winner Max Homa parents: John & Bonnie, always encouraged him to play golf- especially his father, who is an acting coach.

Homa’s dad would go to Griffith Park golf range after work to hit golf balls & take Max with him.

It instilled in him a passion for the clubs & course that would eventually land him as one of the proficient golfers.

John Maxwell Homa, aka Max Homa, currently competes in the PGA Tour & ranks #7 in the Official World Golf Ranking as of this writing.

His highest-ever ranking of #5 came on April 2, 2023.

Born on November 19, 1990, the California native went to the University of California, Berkeley, on a scholarship & graduated with a degree in Consumer Behavior.

At college, he won the 2013 NCAA Division I Championship & competed as an amateur in the 2013 US Open.

After a year, Homa turned professional, competing in the Korn Ferry Tour. He won the BMW Charity Pro-Am in 2014 & then Rust-Oleum Championship in 2016.

Although Max lost his PGA Tour card in the 2017 season after having only two cuts in 17 events, he regained the card in the 2019 PGA Tour season.

Subsequently, he won the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship, leaving Joel Dahmens as the runner-up.

In 2022, the American golfer won his second Wells Fargo Championship, where Keegan Bradley, Matt Fitzpatrick & Cameron Young tied for second place.

On January 28, 2023, he won the Farmers Insurance Open, where his wife Lacey & son Cam were in attendance to celebrate.

Meet Father John Homa, An Acting Coach

John Homa is an accomplished Los Angeles acting coach. He grew up in small Nesquehoning in Pennsylvania. 

John was determined to do something different, as many of his classmates went to work for manufacturing industries. 

He became fond of acting while he was attending Penn State. Mr. Homa was taken aback when his father approved of the new pursuit because he was uncharacteristic of his upbringing.

John moved to New York after college with his wife and starred in off-Broadway productions of “A Streetcar Named Desire.”

The skills, knowledge, and experience he accumulated up until New York led him to Los Angeles, where he worked as both an actor and acting coach. 

From there, John’s client list expanded to Hollywood stars from Brie Larson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Michele Williams, and Evan Rachael Wood.

Further, his clients have included music icons turned actors like LeAnn Rimes, Rickey Martin, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Common.

Coaching onset in ABC’s General Hospital, VH1’s Scream Queens, Spanglish, Jumanji, and American Crime Story are among his notable works.

Mother Bonnie Milstein Has A Corporate Job

Max Homa’s mother, Bonnie, is more than a homemaker & a loving mother.

She works as the Office Manager at Valley Produce Market (November 2010- now) located in Palm Desert, California.

Bonnie is a Penn State University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

The mother of two is active on Twitter, where she shares news and articles featuring her son more often. She is very vocal about her opinions and thoroughly supports her son’s career.

Overall, both of his parents have been supportive of his career as a professional sportsman.

Details On Homa’s Sister Madeline

The golfer grew up in Santa Clarita Valley, where he & his sister Madeline Homa attended Valencia High School.

After high school, Max enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, to play collegiate golf.

On the other, his sister Maddie Homa went to San Diego State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication in 2016.

As an undergraduate, she interned at The Osbrink Agency in mid-2015.

Then, in 2016, she was an intern at L7 Creative before joining Hollister Co. as an assistant manager for six months until January 2017.

Madelina currently works at BlackLine, a financial management company. There she serves as a senior people success advisor (2022- now).

She joined BlackLine in 2017 as a contract talent acquisition coordinator and Sourcer & saw promotions over the years:

According to Zola.com, Madeline and Blake married on June 2, 2023, in Encinitas, California.
