Aksel Lund Svindal, one of Norway’s most legendary skiers, is now embracing a new chapter in life, with his fiancée Amalie Iuel by his side.

Amalie Iuel, born in Aalborg, Denmark, on April 17, 1994, has carved out her own place in the world of sports.

A talented 400-meter hurdler, she has represented Norway at major international events, including the 2015 World Championships.

She became one of the standout athletes in her category, even setting both Danish and Norwegian under-23 records in the 400-meter hurdles while at the University of Southern California.

Her career continued to advance as she won multiple titles in NCAA track competitions and established herself as one of Norway’s best athletes in her discipline.

Aksel And Amalie Are Engaged

Amalie and Aksel’s relationship began in 2020, and since then, they’ve been inseparable.

In 2023, their journey together took a beautiful turn when they welcomed their first child, a son named Storm. Just a month after Storm’s arrival, they also announced their engagement, marking another exciting milestone in their lives together.

Aksel, who has retired from competitive skiing, now enjoys spending time with his growing family, and Amalie continues to pursue her athletic career while being a supportive partner and mother.

Vonn, who announced the collaboration with Aksel in 2025, said, “It’s something truly special to have him on my team.” The pair has a long history in the sport, and now, as they prepare for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

They are working together to reach new heights. Aksel’s wealth of knowledge and experience as a champion has seamlessly translated into this coaching position.
