Nate Burleson Brother: Kevin, Lyndale & Alvin Burleson Jr.
Born into a prolific sporting family, Nate has three brothers, Kevin Burleson, Alvin Burleson Jr., and Lyndale Burleson.
His father, Alvin Burleson, is a former defensive back for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Meet Alvin Burleson Jr.
Alvin Burleson Jr. is the eldest among the brothers. He used to play college football for the University of Washington Huskies and the Western Illinois University Leathernecks.
Alvin Jr. went to the University of Washington as a walk-on football player, where he spent three seasons as special teams member and reserve safety before he suffered from a herniated back.
He left the Washington Huskies when there was a coaching change. He then transferred to Division I-AA Western Illinois and started in the Leathernecks’ secondary.
Meet Kevin Burleson
Kevin is also an older brother to Nate. He played professional basketball and was a former point guard for the Charlotte Bobcats of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
He attended Garfield High School for a year before transferring to O’Dea and was able to tender an athletic scholarship offer from his father’s alma mater.
Kevin was always eager to become an NBA player and paid strict heed to his mother’s spiritual instructions. Nate and Kevin, having played in the NFL and the NBA subsequently, are one of only two sibling duos to do so.
Meet Lyndale Burleson
Lyndale is the younger brother of Nate. He played college basketball at the University of Nevada Wolf Pack.
The Nevada basketball guard possessed the affluent athletic ability among his brothers and preferred to play with the No.1 jersey on his back.
He transferred from O’Dea High to Franklin and didn’t consider any other sport. He considered Amateur Athletic Union basketball to be huge and played with the likes of Marvin Williams and LeBron James.
