Metcalfe County High School Football Player William Toxie Moore Dies in Glasgow, KY, After a Devastating Auto Accident

William Toxie Moore, 17, of Edmonton, Kentucky, tragically passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, in Glasgow, Kentucky, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Born on September 17, 2008, to Billy and Betsy Parke Moore of Edmonton, Toxie was a beloved son, brother, and member of his community.

A devoted member of Cedar Flat Community Church, Toxie was also a former student and football player at Metcalfe County High School.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting and fishing, cherishing every moment in nature.

Toxie is survived by his parents, Billy and Betsy Parke Moore; siblings, Cassie Marie Moore of Marrowbone, KY, and Tristen Proffitt of Summer Shade, KY; maternal grandfather, Myron Freidhof of Iowa; special grandparents, Ricky and Janet Proffitt of Summer Shade, KY, Kathy Ferguson of Summer Shade, KY, and Al and Stacey Hazen of Edmonton, KY; aunts Carol Huff of Glasgow, KY, and Conchita Moore of Edmonton, KY; uncle Cyjoe Freidhof of Iowa; aunt Robin Parke of Summer Shade, KY; and numerous other friends and relatives who cherished his presence.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sydney Proffitt; maternal grandparents, Janice Freidhof and Donnie Park; paternal grandparents, William and Florence Moore; uncle Johny Parke; and special friend Charley Fancher.

Funeral services for Toxie will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with burial in the Moore Family Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 21, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to McMurtrey Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.

Toxie’s life, though tragically cut short, leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and devotion to family and community.
