The MLB star who joined the San Francisco Giants in 2019 was traded to the New York Mets in exchange for outfielder Drew Gilbert and pitchers Blade Tidwell and Jose Butto on July 30, 2025.

Tyler Scott Rogers was born on December 17, 1990, in Denver, Colorado, to parents Scott and Amy Rogers.

He has an identical twin brother, Taylor, who is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates of MLB.

Tyler Rogers’ mother, Amy Rogers, serves as the Deputy Designated Election Official and executive assistant of the Arvada Fire Protection District Department.

She also served as Arvada Fire’s administrative assistant; however, she prefers to maintain a low profile and hasn’t shared much about her professional life.

Talking about Tyler Rogers’ father, Scott Rogers has been working with West Metro Fire Rescue for almost 17 years.

Scott joined West Metro Fire Rescue as an Assistant Chief in 2008 and was promoted to Deputy Chief of Operations in 2011.

Prior to West Metro, Scott served as a firefighter and paramedic of the Cunninham Fire Protection District from October 1989 to March 1991. He also worked as a paramedic for Foothills Ambulance from 1986 to 1989.

Furthemore, Scott Rogers, a native of Littleton, Colorado, graduated from Fort Lewis College and Bear Creek High School.

He currently lives in Ken Caryl, Colorado, with his longtime wife, Elisabeth Selzer Rogers, Tyler’s stepmother. Scott and Elisabeth tied the knot in 2015.
