Likewise, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Before committing herself to studying physician assistant, she shared an Instagram post that read: Four years of college just wasn’t enough! See you soon at PA school.
Alexa’s Drive To Studying Physician Assistant Comes From Her Personal Health Issues!
About a year into PA-C school, Alexa started struggling with several health issues. She had severe anxiety, gut issues, cystic acne, constant fatigue, bloating, PMS symptoms, and irregular periods.
She sought medical help after the issues started taking a toll on her life; however, the traditional medical approach left her with unresolved prescriptions that didn’t address the root causes.
Determined to find answers, Alexa turned to functional medicine to identify and treat the root causes of her health issues.
She didn’t feel entirely recovered, although she saw improvements through changes in diet, functional lab testing, and supplements.
The real breakthrough came when Alexa addressed her mental and emotional health, recognizing the impact of thought patterns and nervous system regulation on physical health.
Hence, her health journey pushed her to pursue her passion, and Alexa launched her new functional medicine clinic, Align with Alexa, on June 11, 2024, to help others.
The certified physician assistant took to her Instagram to share the good news, writing a lengthy caption that reads:
I’m super excited to be sharing the launch of my new functional medicine clinic, Align with Alexa! @alignwithalexa
