The happy marital life of Michael Phelps, one of the greatest athletes of all time, and his young, beautiful wife, Nicole Johnson, inspires many young people. They have been together for almost two decades now.

The love story of American professional swimmer Michael Phelps and former Miss California USA Nicole Johnson began in 2007 when they first met at the 2007 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles.

They began their relationship shortly after the first meeting but broke up in 2008. After a few months, they got back together, but in 2010, they again broke up. After their years of on-and-off relationship, they got engaged in 2015.

During the conversation, he talked about his situation: sometimes he is full of motivation and energy and feels like being on top of the world, and in others, he does not have the energy to get out of bed.

However, with his wife’s support, he got over the situation and started focusing on his professional life. He later talked about his wife, Nicole Johnson, ‘s strong support during the most difficult time of his life.

For 15 years, Nicole has seen me go up and down. There’s no other person that would be able to support me like she has. She’s the glue that holds all of us together.

Similarly, Nicole Johnson also shows her love and support for her husband, saying:

I keep reminding Michael that I’m not here to judge him. I’m here to support him. I’m here to love him. I’m not going to shame him. I’m not going to say you can’t feel that way. But just making sure I’m there.

Throughout their eight happy years of marital life, the couple has welcomed four children.

Their first son, Boomer Phelps, was born on May 5, 2016, before the couple tied the knot. When the couple had their second wedding in late 2016, their first son served as a ring bearer on their wedding.
