Hired As The New Coach Of The Columbus Blue Jackets?
The news of Mike Babcock returning as a coach for the Columbus Blue Jackets has been spreading all over the internet.
Although he was fired in November 2019, he had signed an eight year-contract that runs through June this year.
After the Toronto Maple Leafs’ contract expires at the end of June, Mike is reportedly taking on the head coach role at the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Despite being a talented coach, there are some controversies surrounding him. The coach’s reputation was damaged when Toronto fired him.
During that time, various stories regarding the mistreatment of players created controversies.
Moreover, after the decision of the Blue Jackets, one of the critics, former NHL player Mike Commodore, published a video on Twitter saying, “Morning folks.
“Babs the bully gets another chance. Am I disappointed? Yes, I am disappointed. Am I surprised? No, I’m not. His whole retirement thing was a load of horses*** right off the bat.” Commodore said in the video.
The critic also doesn’t believe the coach has developed coaching skills during his time off.
