Milos Uzan, an American college basketball player for the Houston Cougars of the Big 12 Conference, grew up in an athletic household. His father is the head coach at Desert Pines High School, and his brothers also played basketball.
He led Desert Pines High School to the 2020 Nevada State Championship game and played for Dream Vision and the Vegas Elite.
Later, he committed to playing college basketball for the Oklahoma Sooners. He had offers from other schools, such as Creighton, Utah, California, UNLV, Arizona State, and USC.

Milos Uzan’s Parents Shaped His Basketball Journey
Milos Uzan, the son of Frances Harris Uzan and Mike Uzan, was born on December 26, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nevada. His parents have been together since their college days.
He spent much of his childhood playing soccer and football, but basketball was always in his blood. His father played a significant role in his basketball journey.
Mike was Eldorado High School’s head coach from 2007 to 2011. He also loved coaching his four children.
He influenced Milos’s development as a player at Desert Pines High School, where he coaches basketball and teaches physical education.
Milos got his confidence from his freshman year and had fun playing for his father. He has a high character, does all the right things, and is a good person who always treats his teammates well.

I do not expect anything because each game is a battle. I want him to win but I know how hard it is to win. I always expect him to do his best…but you cannot take wins for granted because they are hard to come by.

Milos Uzan’s Grew Up In An Athletic Household
Frances Harris Uzan and Mike Uzan raised Milos alongside his two brothers, Julian Jacobs and Capri Uzan, and his sister, Haley. Their family has a history of competitiveness and athletics.
Julian played for USC and the G League, Haley played volleyball, ran track, and competed in gymnastics, and Capri played basketball for Westcliff College.
We always argue about who is the best athelete in the family at the kitchen table! Milos is very athletic and can do all the fancy dunks. Julian was more of a 1-foot jumper due to his explosiveness, and while Capri was shorter in size he could still get up there.

Milos’ family has always been in his corner, through wins, losses, and those long, stressful college decisions. He texted his family group chat asking where he should go when picking a college.
He idolized his older siblings and would sit on the bench during their games, wearing a suit like a coach.
His biggest influence was Capri, who was four years older than him. They were competitive and had dunk contests on a mini hoop in the house.
Capri pushed him in a way only an older brother can. He used to talk trash and get under his skin, which made Milos tougher.
