Jeff Hitchcock, a beloved hockey coach from Minnesota, is survived by his beloved wife, Kari, and their two children, Jameson and Juju.

After suffering a stroke over the weekend, he passed away on March 19, 2025.

He was deeply respected in the hockey community for his dedication and commitment to nurturing young talent.

His legacy will live through the countless lives he touched on and off the ice.

Jeff Devoted Himself To The St. Paul Capitals Hockey Association And Served As Both a Coach And a Key Board Member!

Jeff Hitchcock, a well-loved hockey coach from Minnesota, spent his life helping young players grow, both in hockey and as people.

He began as a skilled player and later became a coach. Likewise, he focused not just on teaching the game but also on teamwork, hard work, and good behavior.

Jeff worked with youth and high school hockey teams, especially in the Saint Paul area.

He believed that every kid should have a chance to play hockey, no matter their background, and he made a big difference in making the sport more inclusive.

His efforts helped Minnesota gain a strong reputation in youth hockey. He was also a board member of SPCHA and contributed to the organization’s strategic direction.

This action helped develop the community and promoted youth engagement in sports.

Jeff retired after decades of service to the hockey community. Even after retirement, he remained respected, often attending games and guiding young coaches and players.

He believed in teamwork not only in sports but in building a supportive and strong community.

His legacy continues to influence hockey, as the programs he helped build and the players he mentored carry forward his values and passion for the sport.

Moreover, his work and passion for the sport will continue to influence young players for years to come.
