Minnesota Timberwolves Point Guard Mike Conley And His Wife Mary Conley Are College Sweethearts Turned Parents To Three Boys

Former Memphis Grizzlies star Mike Conley has found the right match in his wife, Mary Conley, who is as big of a fitness enthusiast as him. Mike’s wife, Mary LeReve Conley, loves providing family updates on her Instagram handle and was previously a fashion blogger.

Born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Mike Conley became a basketball force in Lawrence, Indiana.

In Lawrence, Indiana, Mike Conley played with Oden, Daquan Cook, Eric Gordon, and Josh McRoberts for their AAU team coached by his father, Mike Conley Sr.

Mike Conley and Oden won three state high school championships, and the former became one of the Top 20 national recruits.

In his one season with Ohio State, Conley averaged 11.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.4 rebounds.

Foregoing his remaining collegiate availability, Conley entered the 2007 NBA Draft, and the Grizzlies drafted him as the fourth overall pick.

During his 12-year stint with the Grizzlies, Conley averaged 14.9 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.0 rebounds. He made the NBA All-Defensive Second Team once in 2013 and won the NBA Sportsmanship Award thrice.

With Conley in the side, the Grizzlies reached the Conference Finals in the 2012 season, a feat they haven’t been able to replicate in the past 11 seasons.

In 2019, Conley was traded to the Utah Jazz, with whom he made his only All-Star appearance in 2021.

While at Utah, Conley averaged 13.8 points, 5.8 assists, and 3.1 rebounds in four seasons. The Minnesota Timberwolves traded for Conley during the middle of the 2022 season.

In February 2024, Conley extended his contract with the Timberwolves, keeping him with the side through the 2025-26 season.

The contract handed by the Timberwolves could well be Conley’s last contract in the NBA, as the veteran point guard has shown a decline in the ongoing 2024 season.

Mike Conley’s Wife, Mary Conley, Was Emotional After His Move To Minnesota

Being an NBA wife can take a toll at times. Mary Conley, Mike Conley’s wife, shared how she felt after receiving the news of Mike’s move to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In an interview with The Athletic, Mary detailed her experience of finding out her husband’s trade to the Wolves while she was 30,000 feet in the air.

Mary said the move from Memphis to Utah wasn’t as difficult because their oldest son Myles was only 2.

When the Conley family had to move to Minnesota, they had become a family of five, and their three kids had several friends in Utah.

On the day of the trade, February 8, 2023, Mary traveled with Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy’s wife, Spencer Hardy, to New York City for the game.

The couple had no prior knowledge of the trade, and suddenly, while in the air, Mary’s phone started buzzing with text messages about the trade.

Mary recalled the moment and said tears started gushing from her eyes, and panic struck her body.

She couldn’t call her husband or hug her kids. At home, Mike handled the situation with the kids and prepped them to get ready to go to Minnesota.

In a short time, the Timberwolves franchise helped Mary get familiar with the environment.

Two months after the move, Mary shared an Instagram post about the move and wrote she had finally wrapped her head around the big change.

Mike And Mary Conley Are A Tight-Knit Family With Their Three Boys

The NBA couple, Mike and Mary Conley, met at Ohio State University.

Despite being there for only one year, Mike won the Big Ten Conference Championship and also found the love of his life.

After eight years of dating, the couple tied the knot on July 6, 2014.

Mike and Mary welcomed their oldest son, Myles Conley, on July 31, 2016. Their second child, Noah Myles, was born on May 12, 2018.

On August 17, 2020, the couple announced the birth of their third child, Elijah Michael Conley.

In an interview with the E! News, Mary shared Mike couldn’t make it back to Ohio for the birth of their third child.

At the time, because of the NBA bubble, Mike was playing in Orlando, Florida, and he had the first glimpse of his son, Elijah, via FaceTime.

On Instagram, Mary loves sharing videos and photos of her three sons.

She shares videos titled Mom With Me Monday showing her weekend adventures with her sons at various locations.

An October video showcased their sons revisiting Utah, enjoying their day in the beautiful mountains, and eating at their favorite restaurants.

The fashion enthusiast also loves showing her dresses in these videos. She previously ran a fashion blog website, which is no longer available.

When not with their kids, the husband-wife duo love having fun on their own.

For Halloween 2024, the NBA star and his wife dressed as characters from the game Street Fighters, with Mike as Ryu and Mary as Chun Li.
